Shipping a Fintech MVP in 10 Weeks: Lessons from Ledgerly
What it actually took to get a compliant, investor-ready lending platform live in ten weeks, and which shortcuts we refused to take even under deadline pressure.
When Ledgerly came to us, they had a term sheet contingent on demoing a live product, not a deck, in ten weeks. Here is what we learned building under that kind of pressure without compromising on compliance.
Scope ruthlessly, but not on trust
We cut every feature that was not needed for the investor demo. We did not cut SOC 2 readiness, real underwriting logic, or bank-grade data handling, because a fintech product that fakes those things falls apart the moment due diligence starts.
What made the timeline possible
Reusable infrastructure patterns from prior fintech work, a tight weekly demo cadence with the founders, and treating the investor pitch date as a real production launch date rather than a soft deadline.
